Abstract

In December 2019, a new coronavirus-related pneumonia occurred in Wuhan, Hubei province, China. The virus was named acute acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), and the World Health Organization named the disease COVID-19. The disease became pandemic, causing numerous patients and deaths in a short time. However, despite this epidemic situation, there are currently no Food and Drug Administration-approved drugs to treat with COVID-19. Therefore, in this review, we will discuss the drugs currently used in the treatment of COVID-19 based on the COVID-19 treatment guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
