Abstract

The number of endodontic treatments worldwide has largely increased in recent years and it is still on the rise. It is therefore absolutely important to constantly enrich ourselves with knowledge on modern endodontic methods and concepts, through which we can maintain a high success rate of treatments. If we implement all aspects of a clear antibacterial treatment concept, we can achieve a success rate of up to 90%. In this lecture, we will share with you the scientific background and practical basics of modern endodontics. A whole range of topics will be covered, including anatomical situations, bacteriological correlations and different methods of irrigation, different techniques of root canal filling as well as post endodontic restoration. The main focus will be the importance of a consistent antibacterial treatment. We will see how ultrasonic irrigation and single file preparation concepts with reciprocating instruments will make your endo easier, more efficient and successful.
