Abstract

The positive rate of specific IgG antibody to Toxocara canis in patients with atopic myelitis was higher in Korea. We present two patients with transverse myelitis associated with Toxocariasis. Clinical characteristics of the patients showed 1) young age at onset, 2) male, 3) predominant sensory symptoms, 4) relatively longitudinally extensive lesion in spine MRI, 5) increased serum IgE or mite antigen- specific IgE.
