Abstract
Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TC) associated with torsade de pointes (TdP) is rarely reported. We here describe the case of a patient who presented with QT prolongation induced by TC and developed cardiac arrest due to TdP. The TC-induce QT prolongation persisted even after the resolution of TC. We suggest TC can be a cause of long QT syndrome. Implantable cardioverter-defibrillators may therefore be viable treatment choices for TC-induced long QT syndrome.
