Abstract
We had reported previously two patients with dyskinetic cerebral palsy having carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) caused by involuntary dystonic muscle contractions of the wrist. Following examination of these patients, we found atypical presentations of clinical manifestations and objective findings including the electrophysiological study, the sonographic findings and the hand function in one of these patients after surgical release. Based on these findings, the discrepancy between the subjective symptoms and objective examinations, and the possibility of atypical progressions in the electrophysiological and sonographic findings may be considered after surgical release in dyskinetic CP patient with CTS.
